Associate Professor Neil Smith

Associate Professor Neil Smith is a consultant respiratory, general and sleep disorders physician who has been practising in the local area for 22 years. He is a staff general and respiratory physician at Werribee Mercy Hospital and a member of the respiratory unit, AIRMED, Alfred Hospital.
He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, the American College of Chest Physicians and actively involved with medical education as an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Notre Dame, Melbourne Clinical School.
Neil has a long standing respiratory and sleep medicine private practice at 218 Heaths Road, Hoppers Crossing (can you put in a link to my web page www.ppsmc.com.au).
He has been doing peri-operative medicine at St Vincent’s Private Hospital in Werribee since the hospital opened and has been working with Mr Vo most of that time looking after his patients with co-existent medical problems. If deemed necessary Neil likes to see patients pre-operatively to optimise their medical management and will then see them on the ward for post-operative care.
He is also the Director of the St Vincent’s Private Hospital Werribee Sleep Disorders Unit.
Neil has a strong interest in men’s health and veterans’ health and is a current serving member of the Royal Australian Navy Reserve as a medical officer.
