Dr Krishant Naidu

Dr Krishant Naidu injects youth, vitality, and enthusiasm to our team of practitioners at Melbourne Shoulder and Knee. Krish is a dynamic and talented professional, who enjoys the intensity of elite sporting involvement whilst also pursuing his private practice and research interests. He completed his Fellowship training with the Australasian College of Sport and Exercise Physicians in 2015. Krish consults in private practice at Olympic Park Sports Medicine Centre and Sportsmed Biologic.

Krish shares his love of soccer as the current Team Doctor for Melbourne Victory Football Club. He has also enjoyed two fulfilling years at Melbourne Storm Rugby League Club providing medical support to the senior team and their development program. He also has experience looking after Australian Rules Football with Collingwood Football Club VFL, athletics, cycling and martial arts.

In his private practice, he enjoys helping all patients to return from injury, using exercise and sport to optimise health and well-being. Special interests include Shoulder pathologies including Frozen shoulder treatment with Hydrodilatations and Suprascapular nerve injections. He is also interested in tendonopathy treatment and management of early osteoarthritis.

Krish has undertaking original research to determine the most effective injection treatment for treatment of tennis elbow.

He maintains a balanced lifestyle, taking time from his professional schedule to participate in hockey and spending time with his young family.

Growing up in Fiji, Krish has a passion for the promotion of sport and exercise medicine in the Pacific. He is Chair of the Indigenous Health Advisory Committee for the Australasian College of Sports Medicine.
